Photo dynamic therapy
Photo dynamic therapy uses a special extract of Spirulina which is an algae grown in ponds in Australia. The extract, in a capsule, is taken daily before breakfast and it attaches preferentially to the cancer cells. Red light of 662 nm wavelength is used to make the extract fluoresce (give out light) and this splits oxygen molecules into two atoms with high energy which kills the cancer cell.
